Gabrielle Elaine Franco Rose (born November 1, 1977; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a freestyle, medley and breaststroke swimmer from the United States, who has dual citizenship with Brazil because her mother is from that country. Rose, a resident of Memphis, Tennessee, competed for Brazil at the 1996 Summer Olympics, but represents the U.S. in swimming since the 1999 Pan American Games. Rose attended St. Mary's Episcopal School in Memphis, graduating in 1995, and Stanford University graduating in March 2000 with a BA in American Studies and in 2009 with a MBA. She now trains in Berkeley, California. She is the daughter of former Holiday Inn ceo, Mike Rose and Regina Rose. References - USA Swimming
